About Artie Spector
Beginning his career in business with a highly-respected public accounting firm located in New York City, Artie Spector specialized in working with clients in the real estate industry.
After leaving New York, Artie moved to Las Vegas, where he began his career in the vacation ownership industry. While there, he learned about the timeshare business from the ground up serving as chief financial officer and president before forming his own company to develop, market and sell timeshare intervals in 1984. During this time period, he also was the first to bring the concept of a timeshare to the resort and gaming industry in Nevada.
Involved in every facet of the timeshare, also known as the "vacation ownership" industry, Artie Spector has marketed the right to use, trust, leasehold and fee simple sales programs. His expertise is constantly in demand as he is requested by both developers and lenders to consult on the marketing and management of a variety of vacation ownership developments, both within and without the State of Hawaii. He also has lectured at industry conventions and in the classroom. He currently serves on the board of directors of the American Resort Development Association, the industry's leading trade association.
Artie is a graduate of the City College of New York, where he earned a degree in business in 1966 and another degree in business with a major in accounting in 1968.
He also established The Spector Family Foundation to promote the charitable interests and passions of the Spector Family. He remains active in the interests of the community for which he and his family live.
